Last updated: July 3, 2026 · Applies to the TASK on LitVM browser extension and tasklitvm.pro

TASK on LitVM is a browser extension that connects to the LiteForge testnet (Arbitrum Nitro L2, Chain ID 4441) and lets you earn TASK test tokens by running a lightweight node. TASK tokens on the testnet have no monetary value — they are used for testing and for accumulating a score toward a possible future mainnet distribution.

This page explains what data the extension and website collect, why, and what we do not do with it.

What we collect

DataPurpose
Public wallet addressIdentifies your node on the leaderboard and for on-chain reward claims. This is public blockchain data, not personal information.
IP address (hashed)Processed server-side as a one-way SHA-256 hash to enforce "one IP = one active node," preventing abuse of the early-adopter bonus. The plain IP address is never stored or logged.
Task & claim activityNumber of completed tasks, claimed reward amounts, and resulting transaction hashes — needed to calculate and pay out rewards on-chain.
Referral code (optional)If you enter a referral address, it's stored so the referrer receives their bonus.

What we never collect

The wallet password you set encrypts your private key locally (via chrome.storage.local). The decrypted key is held only in temporary, in-memory session storage while the extension is unlocked and is cleared automatically when you close the browser. Neither the password nor the private key ever leaves your device.

How data is used

Data described above is used solely to operate the node network: verifying one active node per IP, calculating rewards, displaying the public leaderboard, and crediting referrals. We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to running the network.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Reward claims are settled directly on the LiteForge testnet blockchain, which is public by nature — any wallet address and its on-chain transactions are visible to anyone via a block explorer, independent of this website.

Your controls

You can stop the node, lock or remove your wallet, and uninstall the extension at any time from the extension popup or chrome://extensions. Removing the extension deletes the locally stored encrypted keystore from your browser.

Remote code

The extension does not download or execute any code from remote servers. All logic ships inside the extension package; network requests are used only to exchange data (task assignments, rewards, balances) with our backend and the LiteForge RPC.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the extension after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
