❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know

How the network works, how to earn TASK, and what happens at mainnet launch.

General
TASK on LitVM is a decentralized network of nodes where users earn TASK tokens by letting their home IP address execute HTTP requests for network clients. In short — you monetize the internet bandwidth you're not using anyway.
Businesses need residential (home) IP addresses for data collection — competitor pricing, SEO tracking, ad verification, AI training data. Server IPs get blocked by Cloudflare and similar systems, but home IPs don't. Our node network provides this access and rewards participants with TASK tokens.
Companies that need residential proxies:
  • Price monitoring — tracking prices on Amazon, eBay, AliExpress
  • SEO tools — checking Google rankings from different countries
  • Ad verification — agencies verify ads are displaying correctly
  • AI / ML datasets — collecting public data for model training
  • Travel aggregators — Kayak, Skyscanner scraping flight prices
Yes. The node only executes HTTP GET requests to public websites — exactly what your browser does. Your personal data, browsing history, and files are never used or accessible by the network. The node only sees the IP address from which the request is made.
It depends on your node's activity, tier, and streak. A base reward is credited for each completed task. Streak and tier multipliers increase rewards up to ×3.0. The earlier you start — the better: when mainnet launches, scores are converted to real TASK proportionally to your contribution.
Getting Started
  1. Open tasklitvm.pro
  2. Click "Run Node in Browser"
  3. Connect MetaMask (or install it if you don't have it)
  4. Switch to LiteForge Testnet (Chain 4441) — the site will prompt you automatically
  5. Click "Start Node" — your node will start executing tasks and accumulating TASK
No. Your MetaMask wallet is your account. No email, no password, no registration.
LiteForge is a Layer 2 blockchain built on Superchain. Chain ID: 4441. The project is currently running on testnet before the mainnet launch. All scores and tokens accumulated now will be included in the snapshot and converted to real TASK when mainnet launches.
Not for running tasks — the node works for free. Gas (zkLTC) is only needed when you claim (withdraw) TASK tokens on-chain. You can get free zkLTC from the LiteForge Discord faucet.
One node per IP address. If multiple wallets try to connect from the same IP — only the first one connects, others get an error. This ensures fair reward distribution across the network.
Browser Node vs Extension

Good for testing

We recommend the extension — it runs in the background and earns even when the browser is minimized.

  1. Download the .zip file from the site
  2. Unzip it
  3. Open chrome://extensions/
  4. Enable Developer mode (top right corner)
  5. Click Load unpacked → select the unzipped folder
  6. Click the extension icon and connect your wallet
Tokens & Rewards
TASK is the network token. Total supply: 1,000,000,000 TASK (1 billion). Fixed — no new tokens will ever be minted. The token is used to reward nodes and for business clients to pay for proxy access.
Each successfully completed task earns a base TASK reward. The final amount depends on your multiplier, which is calculated based on your tier and streak. Early Adopter status adds an additional permanent bonus.
Score is a number that grows every time your node completes a task. It reflects how much work your node has contributed to the network. Score (not token count) determines your share at the mainnet snapshot — the higher your Score, the more TASK you'll receive when mainnet launches.
Any time by clicking "Claim TASK" in the node panel. Up to 1000 TASK can be claimed per transaction. You'll need zkLTC for gas — get it free from the LiteForge Discord faucet.
Yes — up to 500 rewarded tasks per day per wallet. This keeps the token economy sustainable and protects it from abuse while the project is still in its testnet phase. Realistically, most active nodes never come close to this cap.
Tiers and Multipliers
Your reward per task = base reward × every multiplier that applies to you, multiplied together (not added):
MultiplierRange
Early Adopter×1.0 or ×3.0 (flat, permanent)
Streak (tier)×1.0 – ×3.0
Stake amount×1.0 – ×1.60
Stake lock period×1.0 – ×1.35
Node location×1.0 – ×1.15
Theoretical max: Early Adopter (×3.0) × Diamond streak (×3.0) × Validator stake (×1.60) × 90-day lock (×1.35) × Tier 1 location (×1.15) ≈ ×22.4. The 10% referral bonus is separate — it's a flat cut paid to your referrer on top, not part of this product.
Tiers are node levels based on your streak that increase your reward multiplier:
TierStreak requiredMultiplier
🥉 Bronze0–6 days×1.0
🥈 Silver7–13 days×1.5
🥇 Gold14–59 days×2.0
💎 Diamond60+ days×3.0
Yes — a small bonus based on where your node's IP is from. Clients like price monitoring, ad verification, and AI dataset collection specifically need residential IPs from certain countries, so demand (and your reward) is higher there:
TierCountriesMultiplier
Tier 1US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Australia, Japan, Netherlands×1.15
Tier 2Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Finland, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea×1.07
Everywhere else×1.00
Your country is detected automatically from your IP the first time your node connects — nothing to configure. It stacks with your Early Adopter, Streak, and Stake multipliers.
Streak is the number of consecutive days your node has completed tasks. The longer your node runs without a full-day break — the higher the tier and multiplier. If your node misses a full calendar day, you get one grace day to save it: pay 1000 pending score and the streak continues. Miss the grace day too, decline, or don't have enough score — the streak resets to 1.
The first 100 unique IP addresses to connect to the network receive Early Adopter status — a special badge in the leaderboard and a permanent ×3.0 multiplier on all rewards. One IP = one slot. Check the leaderboard to see how many slots are left.
Yes. Task distribution favors nodes with a stable residential IP and consistent uptime — that's exactly the kind of node that's most valuable to the network. This isn't a fixed list of "top nodes" that stays ahead forever: your priority is a rolling score based on your uptime over the last 7 days, recalculated continuously. Stay online consistently and your chances of getting picked first go up; go offline a lot and they drop — so every node, old or new, keeps the same incentive to stay reliable.
Staking
You can lock TASK tokens in the TaskStaking contract to get a permanent reward multiplier on top of your tier/streak bonus. The bonus depends on how much you stake and for how long you lock it — it stacks with your Early Adopter and Streak multipliers.
Two bonuses stack together — how much you stake, and how long you lock it for:
Stake tierMin amountMultiplier
Lite Staker100 TASK×1.10
Node Staker1,000 TASK×1.30
Validator10,000 TASK×1.60
Lock periodMultiplier
No lock (flexible)×1.00
14 days×1.05
30 days×1.15
90 days×1.35
Example: a Validator staking 10,000 TASK locked for 90 days gets ×1.60 × ×1.35 = ×2.16, on top of your Early Adopter and Streak multipliers.
Withdrawing before your chosen lock period ends costs a 20% penalty on the staked amount — the rest is returned to you. Waiting out the full lock period (or staking with no lock at all) means no penalty. Either way, withdrawing always requires a 7-day cooldown after you request it.
Connect your wallet on the site — click the "Staking" bar in your node panel (below Referrals) to expand it. Enter an amount, pick a lock period, and click "Stake TASK". Your wallet will ask you to approve the TASK transfer first (one-time per amount), then confirm the stake transaction. The bonus applies automatically to your next completed tasks once the stake is at least 24h old — no manual contract interaction needed.
In the same Staking box, click "Request Unstake" — this starts a 7-day cooldown (you can click "Cancel Unstake" any time before it ends to keep your stake active). Once the cooldown is over, click "Withdraw". If your chosen lock period hasn't expired yet, the site will warn you that withdrawing now costs a 20% penalty before you confirm.
0xF7A3aeeCdA29059E015AcCa679Bfd92dE4B7c512 on LiteForge testnet (Chain 4441). You normally don't need to interact with it directly — the site handles approve/stake/unstake/withdraw for you.
Referral Program
Every node has a unique referral link: tasklitvm.pro?ref=0x.... When a new user joins through your link, you automatically earn 10% of all their rewards — with no extra action required on your part.
Connect your wallet on the site — your referral link will appear in the node panel. Click "Copy" and share it.
Yes — up to 10 referees per wallet. This keeps the referral program fair for everyone and prevents automated mass-referral abuse. All 10 slots still earn 10% of their rewards for as long as they're active, with no time limit.
Mainnet & Snapshot
Before mainnet launches, the server will take a snapshot — recording each node's Score. Based on this snapshot, real TASK tokens will be distributed proportionally to every participant's contribution.
Testnet TASK tokens are not transferred to mainnet. What carries over is your Score. Before mainnet launch, a snapshot of all Scores will be taken — and real TASK tokens will be distributed proportionally. The higher your Score now, the larger your share.
No date announced yet. The snapshot will happen before launch. Mine now — competition is minimal, and every day adds to your Score. Early miners will receive a disproportionately large share.
Technical Questions
Minimally. The node executes a light HTTP request roughly every 90–180 seconds (randomized, not a fixed interval). This is not streaming or torrenting — the bandwidth impact is negligible.
The node receives a task (a URL) from the server, makes an HTTP GET request through your IP, and returns the response status and latency. Nothing more.
No. The value of the node is your home IP. A VPN turns your IP into a server IP, which defeats the purpose of the network. VPN nodes are not accepted.
Your streak only resets if you miss a full calendar day without any completed tasks. Short connection drops don't reset the streak — the node reconnects automatically within seconds. If you do miss a full day, you'll be offered one grace day to save your streak for 1000 pending score — see "What is a Streak?" above.
Privacy & Security
Only the TASK on LitVM server — and only as a hashed (encrypted) fingerprint. Network clients see your IP as a regular user without any link to your wallet or identity.
No. The network only uses your outbound traffic for HTTP requests. Browsing history, files, and personal data are never accessible and never collected.
The TaskRewardToken contract is deployed on LiteForge at address: 0x82A7543086E7d63c7fC7A082Fe32eA5d2441e982. The code is open and verifiable on the blockchain explorer.
Leaderboard
The leaderboard shows the top 100 nodes ranked by accumulated Score. It updates every 30 seconds. You can find your position by searching your wallet address.
Your leaderboard rank reflects your Score. At the mainnet snapshot, TASK tokens are distributed proportionally to Score — the higher your rank, the larger your share of the airdrop.
